Cosco Busan

The container ship M/V Cosco Busan struck the bay Bridge in San Francisco Bay 58.000 gallons of fuel oil spilled into the water

Hepei Spirit

A crane barge collided with M/V Hepei Spirit on September 8,2007 10 km off the coast of South Korea.The M/V Hepei Spirit sustained 3 large punctures and an estimated 2.8 million gallons of crude oil spilled into the sea.

Environmental disaster in Russsia

The tanker Volganeft-139 split apart as it was pounded by 20 foot waves in the Kerch Strait which connnect the sea of azov with the Black Sea and 560.000 gallons of heavy fuel was discharged into the sea.11 ships including an oil tanker sank or broke apart in the storm,on November,2007.30.000 seabirds were covered with oil and heavy fuel oil also settled onto the seabed,destroying marine habitat and killing fish.
